Semi Hair coloring?

I want to color my hair with semi-permadent hair dye..

I have black hair and a want to dye it a brown, or a reddish brown, or a medium brown. Will it work? will my hair be the same when it washes out?

yes and no........you wont get lift colour wise with a semi as it sits on top of the hair shaft rather than penetrating it. you will get the tone of the colour you want. it will look lighter but it's just a coating...best advice is to go to the chemist and look at the colour charts on the back....they show what you'll get from the colour hair you have.

if your hair is black and you put brown or red in it, its not going to show.... you have to bleach it first, which usually turns it a red or orange color the first time you bleach....

if your hair was dyed black you can strip the color out but that usually damages your hair very badly... when i had black and wanted to go light again, i actually decided to just cut all my hair off and start at square one... 1 and 1/2 years later i'm at about the length it was when i cut it off. go to a hairdresser, they'll be able to help you with destroying your hair too much.
