? about coloring my hair 2x'?

I have dk brown hair and I bought a real light blond hair color from the store. I used it and it lightened my hair but not as much as I wanted, is it ok to buy the same color again and do it over, will it work the second time because my hair is lighter?

Also I'm not worried about drying out my hair it will be fine, I just want to know if I will get lighter results the 2nd time.

thanks

If you are putting it on the already lightened hair then yes it will get lighter on those section. The thing to remember about lighteners is the developer you are using. A 20 volume will lift 2 -3 levels, a 30 volume 3-4 levels and a 40 volume 4-5 levels generally speaking. Now, there are some powder bleaches that can by mixed to get you up to 7 levels of lift but you will most likely be mixing double of the 40 volume to the lightener which is hard on the hair but gets results. You can do anything to the hair as long as you know how to take care of it in the in between time. It will be great - good luck

Only if you leave it on longer than you did the first time.

eeek dont do it. it will strip all the natural oils out of your hair and make it dull and have split ends.

or at least wait a while before you do it again

I think it's best to get a semi-permanent hair dye(it doesn't dry out your hair) first in the colour you want and then die it with the permanent colour.

yeah that'll work.

Yeah it will probably be lighter. I think for some products, the longer you leave it on the lighter it gets. To be sure maybe you should just buy a lighter shade.
