Is it better to get your hair colored on clean hair or on dirty hair (Like, washed yesterday)?

If you are going to the hairdresser, i would wash your hair the night before. It's better this way, b.c it's hard for hair color to get past all the oils from your roots. I can't remember why it's not good to wash it the same morning... but you shouldn't. Maybe too much stress on the hair? Sorry i couldn't help more.

definately clean.its not nice going to the hair dressers with dirty hair.and also try not to put any products on it(hairspray etc) as this may affect the final result.x

i dont like it too clean or its a bit soft but not too dirty or greasy as it puts a barrier on the hair, making it harder to take the colour, wash 1-2 days before xxx

it doesn't matter-the chemicals will cut through anything on your hair. If it's a semi or demi permanent color they will wash it first anyway and put it on wet. (depending on the color line-some have different directions)

do not wash the day of or the night before because if it is too clean the chemicals will not soak in properly. It needs to have at least 24 of not being washed for it to do right. It is always better to go with unwashed hair and if for some reason it is too greasy the cosmetologist will wash it and it usually doesn't cost any extra.

if i were u i would leave it is because if your hair needs to be washed than the hair sallon will wash it free of charge. Also i like saloon washes because the pick the right shamopoo and conditioner for your hair type and put some ggreat styling sprays in it! i think saloons always wash your hair first because color goes on wet hair anyway!
