Hair coloring question??

i recently colored my hair black, i want to go back brown, but everyone keeps telling me that i have to strip my hair! does anyone know any other way??

Hair coloring question??

There's no other way. Easiest thing to try first, go to Sallys and buy SalonCare Color Corrector. It'll strip a lot of the black out of your hair, but you'll have to opt for a darker brown color for a while to cover the brassy tones that will be left in your hair.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to bleach.

Bad.

Hair coloring question??

Colour it brown again then, or wait till the black hair dye goes off!

Hair coloring question??

bleach..thats the only way....which is exactly what stripping the hair is...its the exact same process...highlights weaved in many of them is one option that will lighten you up quite a bit...and help you to grow out the black in your hair..

Hair coloring question??

i dont think you have to strip it. if you dye it yourself, just use 2 boxes

Hair coloring question??

well you have to start gradually lighting your hair until it gets to that shade of brown that you want......go to a professional hope i helped good luck!

Hair coloring question??

There really isn't any other way. Imagine dyeing a tshirt black and then trying to dye it brown. It's impossible. The only thing you would be able to do would be to try to strip the color out of the tshirt with bleach. The same goes for your hair. When they try to take the color back out of your hair, it will be a process. The best thing to do would be to highlight your hair with the brown you are wanting to achieve so it can give the illusion of a lighter color all around.

Hair coloring question??

if you want to lighter you really should strip it first. i tried the same thing, going from dark brown to light brownish red, it turned out dark orange, i had to walk around looking like carrot top for about a month. i also found out the hard way to not use anything with the word "ash" in it, it made my hair green. good luck!!
