Question about hair coloring - please only expert advice (THANKS)?

I have medium to dark brown hair, I want sandy blond, If I use Loreal Paris feria's bleach blonding kit will it bleach my hair out all the way as in the picture of the dude on the box or since my hair is dark, will it give me the sandy blond color I'm wanting ???

2nd. question. this is winter so is it a dumb idea to go blond anyway ??

medium to dark brown is tone 4, sandy blond is on tone 9, you need to rise the hair's tone 5 tones, that means you must bleach it with a bleach powder mixing with a 6% oxidative cream, and then you are on tone 7 if you are using l'oreal, an then you repeat the operation because you have to get rid of all dark pigments and to reach level 8, and then you dye you hair, mixing a sandy blond with 3% oxidative cream,

IMPORTANT: after this process you must follow a hair recovery treatment

success

if the fits you you can have it even on winter :P

Take my advice and go and get it done professionally. If you atempt it yourself, it could come out orange or some mad colour. If i were you, instead of going for such a dramatic change, i'd do it gradually, why not put blonde highlights in your hair now and come next summer then do it all over if you setill want to. I have the same hair colour as you and i have blonde highlights in it but because its dark, i can never get the bright blonde I want but i still like it compared to a full head of dark hair. Be carefull too, you dont want to have lovely sandy blond hair and dark brown roots, there's nothing worse i think, it will take a lot of taking care off.

I know you wanted expert advice, but I can tell you from experience that the Feria kit turned medium strawberry blonde to platinum.

When natural hair is medium-dark brown there is ALWAYS a presences of red highlights.Make sure the kit you are using has enough lifting power that you do not end up with orange-red hair. After your hair is lifted past a red-orange stage you should use another color to tone the hair which will make it the sandy brown or carmel brown that you are looking for.

If I were you I might try going to Sally's Beauty Supply and look for color products.
